We wish our very own John McEneaney every blessing and good wish as he makes the final preparations for his ordination to the priesthood next week, Sunday October 24th, which is Mission Sunday.
John will be ordained a priest in the Cathedral of the Most Holy Trinity, Barronstrand St. Waterford by Bishop Cullinan at 3pm.
There are a number of places available for those who would like to attend; you can simply come along on the day, and places will be allocated on a first-come, first served basis.
The following day, Fr. John will offer his First Mass of Thanksgiving here in Holy Cross Church, Tramore, on Monday 25th at 3pm, and all are welcome.
After Mass, Fr. John will give his first blessings to all present.
There used to be an old saying that a blessing from a newly-ordained priest was worth two from a bishop!
We pray for John and his family in advance of this momentous occasion, and for the new appointment that he will receive in the coming weeks.
